2026 Lishui University Language Student (Preparatory Student) Program
This program is designed for beginners with no prior Chinese language background. It offers 12 class hours of Chinese language and Chinese culture courses and 4 class hours of high school mathematics and physics each week, totaling 16 class hours per week. Through one academic year of systematic study, students can not only rapidly improve their everyday Chinese communication skills but also build a solid foundation in mathematics and physics for those planning to take the CSCA (Chinese Scholastic Competence Assessment) for undergraduate admission in China. The program adopts a flexible length of study, with a minimum duration of 6 months in principle. Fees are charged on an annual basis, and students may plan their study schedule flexibly. Classes are held at the Songyang Campus of Lishui University.
Application Materials:
1. A passport valid for at least one year; 2. A high school diploma or above and transcripts. If the original documents are not in Chinese or English, notarized translations must be provided; 3. Proof of English communication ability; 4. Lishui University Application Form (downloadable from the homepage of the admissions website); 5. A health certificate issued within the last 3 months; 5. A bank deposit certificate of no less than RMB 40,000 and bank statements from the last 3 months; 6. A 2-inch ID photo with a white background;7. A certificate of no criminal record issued within the last 3 months; 8. A 2–3 minute personal statement video in English; 9. A signed commitment letter confirming that the applicant has not completed an undergraduate or higher degree in China (downloadable from the application page of the admissions website).
Special Note: All applicants must first complete the psychological assessment online before submitting their application materials.
Program Fees:
1. Tuition: RMB 14,000/year
2. Accommodation: RMB 3,500/year (double room) or RMB 1,750/year (quad room)
3. Insurance: RMB 800/year
4. Application fee: RMB 400/year
